Pre-Congress Excursions

Half-day pre-congress excursions are available for participants who want to experience Korean culture near Daejeon.
These excursions are optional and not included in any registration fees.

Bookings for the below tours are now available via the tour registration form.

Jeonju Hanok Village has over 800 traditional Korean ‘Hanok’ houses. While the rest of the city has been industrialised, the Hanok Village retains its historical charms and traditions. The curves of the roofs add to the beauty of the Hanok Village, and the traditional Korean table d’hôte attracts tourists. (Jeondong Catholic Cathedral, Omokdae, Kyeonggijeon, etc.)

Yuseong Hot Springs is located at the center of Daejeon. The water here contains alkaline minerals such as calcium, and potassium, sulphur, and is good for skins.

Gyeryongsan National Park stretches across Daejeon. The origin of the word Gyeryong ('Gye' meaning 'chicken,' and 'Yong' meaning 'dragon') comes from the fact that the ridgeline looks like a dragon wearing a chicken's crest on its head.

Gyejoksan is located in Daejeon is one of the eight popular places for sightseers which are designated by city government.

Gyejoksan Mountain Red Clay Trail is the nation's first eco-healing barefoot walking trail. Walking or even running along this 14-kilometer long trail at an altitude between 200 and 300 meters above sea level is a great way to get a healthy body and spirit.

NOTICE

  • Inclusions & Exclusions

    • Transportation & guides' rates are inclusive.
    • Entrance fee & 1 bottle of water per person per day are inclusive.
    • Any meals are exclusive.
  • Registration Deadline

    by 6 September 2018.

  • Minimum number of participant

    • A minimum number of participant is fifteen. If the number of participants does not reach the minimum required for each tour by the registration deadline, tours would be cancelled.
    • If we decide to cancel the tour due to lack of participants, we will inform you of its cancellation no later than 2 days prior to the date of departure for tours. In that case, we will refund the tour fare in full amount in about 7 days after IAH Congress.
  • Cancellation Policy

    • If you cancel 4 days prior to tour day, there will be no cancellation charge.
    • If you cancel 3 days prior to tour day, there will be 50% cancellation charge.
    • If you cancel within 2 days of the scheduled day, there will be 100% cancellation charge.
    • NO SHOW will be considered as cancellation on the tour day, Non-refundable.
